We are eager to support you in your writing journey through our one-on-one consultation services, downloadable resources, workshops, and writing evaluation. Enroll in the three-credit course EWP 115 to obtain comprehensive knowledge of academic writing.

Help From our Writing Coaches

The Writing Centre offers free 45-minute consultations to help Bishop’s University students with any written assignment (e.g., essay, lab report, research paper, thesis proposal). Get help with planning, organizing, outlining, sentence structure, grammar, referencing and citations. Booking an appointment can be done up to two weeks in advance or even last minute!

EWP 115 Writing Course

EWP 115 is a three-credit writing course that aims to develop competency in fundamental and inter-disciplinary academic writing skills by reviewing grammatical and structural concepts. The recursive nature of writing will be emphasized as students receive feedback at different stages of the writing process.

The Writing Centre, located in the Library Learning Commons 226, 227, 228, is staffed by a group of enthusiastic and experienced writing consultants whose goal is to help students of all levels across all disciplines perfect their writing styles.
