Campus Security maintains a good working relationship with the Service de Police de la Région de Sherbrooke, who are responsible for investigating crimes and criminal activities on campus.All buildings, including residences, are checked on a daily basis by Security Officers on foot patrols. The campus exterior is also patrolled on foot and with a Security Vehicle. Any suspicious persons and/or vehicles are checked.In all situations, the University relies on the good will and good judgment of all members of the Bishop’s community. Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to read the Emergency Situation Policy & Guidelines document and to understand their roles and responsibilities.Parking Rates 2021-2022Parking Permits are now available for purchase through the HotSpot Parking application.New This Year – Staff and Faculty will be able to purchase the cheaper permit (student permit) but like students, will be restricted to parking lots P1 and P2. As always, if you purchase the staff/faculty permit you will be able to park everywhere. P1-P2 only $237.00 for the year (Students and cheaper staff/faculty option) P1-P2 only $133.00 for the semester (Students and cheaper staff/faculty option) Staff/Faculty $260.00 for the year (access to all lots) you must use your @ubishops.ca or @crcmail.net email address Staff/Faculty $138.00 for the semester (access to all lots) you must use your @ubishops.ca or @crcmail.net email addressYou will need to download the application on your smartphone or tablet, or go onto the HotSpot website and purchase your permit online.The application is available for download via the Apple App Store and Google Play. Or online at https://htsp.ca Payroll DeductionsBishop’s University Staff and Faculty will still be able to buy their annual/semester permit through Payroll Deduction. You can do so by choosing that payment option in your account settings on the HotSpot application or web page.Full-year Permit prices will be deducted over 6 pay periods. Semester Permits will be deducted over 3 pay periods.Champlain College Staff: unfortunately Payroll Deduction is not an option for you at this time.Fall Semester is from September 1st until December 31st. Winter Semester is from January 1st until April 30th. Summer Semester is from May 1st until August 31st.Parking RegulationsPay and Park Rates: $1.50 per hour, maximum $7.00 for 24 hours.
