Students who were born in Quebec automatically qualify as Quebec residents.

A student born in Canada but outside Quebec may qualify as Quebec Residency if they meet the Quebec governments criteria.

If you are eligible for Quebec tuition and were not born in Quebec you will be required to provide supporting documents within the semester you are eligible.

Citizens of France – Rate change starting Fall 2015 for NEW incoming students.

An existing bilateral agreement between the French and Quebec governments allows French citizens to pay the Canadian tuition Rate.
Documents required: Valid French passport or French National Identity Card, study permit issued by Immigration Canada, and Certificat d’Acceptation du Québec (CAQ) issued by Immigration Quebec.

Students with dual nationality (French and other): please ensure that your valid French passport is submitted along with the required documentation for your admission. If this is not the case, Bishop’s is not permitted to exempt you from international tuition supplements.

It is the student’s responsibility to provide all  supporting documents for Quebec residency before the end of the semester they are requesting a status change.
