Our campus

One of the most enviable characteristics of the BU campus is its physical setting: nestled amongst the rivers, forests, farms and the rolling hills of Quebec’s beautiful Eastern Townships, the University’s location features breathtaking vistas and possesses an atmosphere of rare beauty and charm.

A place for everyone

The Bishop’s campus is rich in exceptional indoor and outdoor facilities that cater to the people who live, work and study here every day. From our art gallery, theatres and restaurants to our observatory, libraries, laboratories, classrooms and stunning new sports and recreation centre, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy.

The Quad at Bishop's

In addition to its extensive facilities, our campus features an abundance of spaces, such as our gazebo, labyrinth and benches, that are meant to encourage spontaneous gatherings, as well as pedestrian and bike paths that connect the University’s buildings to the campus’ network of outdoor spaces. All of these gathering spots and pedestrian paths are deliberately defined – by the landscape, the trees, bushes, and other natural elements of the campus – and beautifully showcase the natural space that encompasses Bishop’s University.

Hiking trails around Bishop's

With more than 550 acres of green space to discover, our campus is big enough for you to explore something new every day, yet small enough to ensure you can always find a friendly face to explore it with.

Whether your interests lean towards the arts and culture, athletics and recreation, or simply hanging out with friends on a sunny afternoon, there will always be places, and opportunities, for you at BU.
