The mission of Financial Services is to manage Bishop’s University business operations in a manner that facilitates the achievement of the university’s teaching, research, and public service objectives. Essential to achieving this mission are effective business processes, financial health, and information security. The core values underlying all Financial Services operations are transparency, integrity, and accountability.

Financial Services

Financial Services is responsible for managing the overall accounting, treasury, payroll, accounts payable and receivables functions of the University. This includes managing internal controls to mitigate risk; ensuring that the official accounting records of the University are up-to-date and accurate; safeguarding the assets of the University to minimize risk of financial loss; budgeting; and developing and maintaining reporting tools to provide high-quality financial information that supports the University’s strategic management initiatives.
