Tax Slips

Annual Tax Slips

Income tax forms are posted each year in late February via the Registrar’s Office myBU page, under Student Finances.

T2202 – Tuition and Enrolment Certificate

Issued to all students who have provided their SIN. This certificate includes:

  • All tuition and fees billed to the student during the previous year.
  • The number of months the student was enrolled in a qualifying educational program.

Note that this form does not provide assurance that the student is eligible for tuition, education, or textbook credits, or for a scholarship exemption, nor does it provide assurance that the student is eligible to participate in the lifelong learning plan.

RL-8 – Relevé 8

Issued to all students who have provided their SIN, regardless of their province of residence.

T4A and RL-1

Students who receive a scholarship, award, bursary, or prize from Bishop’s University will receive a T4A slip and a Relevé 1 (RL-1) tax receipt.

RL-31 – Relevé 31

Issued to all students who have an active Bishop’s University residence lease on December 31 of the tax year. RL-31 slips are provided regardless of whether the student has submitted a Canadian SIN. Students who move out of residence before December 31 will not receive an RL-31.

For more information on tax credits and eligibility, visit the CRA’s Student Tax Information page or consult a tax advisor.

These forms do not guarantee eligibility for tax credits or exemptions.
