Jennifer LaPlante ’00
Jennifer is Deputy Minister of the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Solutions for Nova Scotia, where she supports secure, scalable digital services and cyber resilience across government. She brings more than 20 years of experience in digital transformation, data governance, and artificial intelligence. Before joining the provincial government in July 2025, she served as Chief Growth and Investment Officer at Canada’s Ocean Supercluster and as Executive Director of DeepSense, where she helped advance AI adoption in Canada’s ocean sector.
