Mandate and Functions of the Senate Research Space Committee1

  • To maintain an inventory of research space on campus and its present utilization.
  • To revise, when necessary, recommendations for priorities, criteria and procedures for the allocation of research space.
  • To allocate research space, based on clearly defined criteria and procedures.

Composition and Membership of the Senate Research Space Committee2

  • Vice-Principal Academic and Research
  • Director of the Office of Research and Graduate Studies
  • One Dean
  • Five faculty nominated by Senate Nominating Committee, two of whom must be from the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
  • One student actively involved in research named by the Students’ Representative Council
  • Vice-Principal Finance and Administration or delegate – (non-voting)
  • Director of Buildings and Grounds (non-voting)
