Bishop's University was founded in 1843 and sits on a 222-hectare (550 acre) campus. Bishop's offers 106 programs in 5 faculties and 25 departments.

The average time to commute to campus is 15 minutes, there are 21 social and academic clubs, 3 '3M' National Teacher Fellows and 6 '3M' National Student Fellows, and 9 varsity sports teams.
