Researchers who use biohazards must abide by the Bishop’s University Biosafety Manual, which has been prepared for the benefit of those who work in proximity to potentially infectious biological agents.

Guidelines for the submission of protocols involving biohazards

A submission is required by any researcher working with biohazards. These guidelines are designed to provide detailed instructions and information in regard to submitting protocols to the Biosafety Officer for review.

Biohazards application form for research or course-based activities

A biohazards application form MUST be submitted to and approved by the Biosafety Officer via the BU Research Portal prior to undertaking any project involving the use of biohazards.

Deadlines: The form must be submitted by August 31, December 15 and March 31 or the following business day if the 15th or the 31st of the month falls on a weekend or holiday.
