The Biofood Innovation Program (Programme Innovation bioalimentaire) is a Government of Quebec funding initiative designed to strengthen innovation across the province’s biofood sector, including agriculture, food processing, fisheries, and aquaculture. It supports research, technology development, knowledge transfer, and collaborative innovation projects that generate new knowledge and improve the competitiveness, sustainability, and performance of Quebec’s biofood industries. Through five funding streams, the program helps research organizations, businesses, and sector partners develop and apply innovative solutions to address current and emerging challenges in the biofood sector.
