The professors in the Department of Physics & Astronomy run externally-funded cutting-edge research programs that hire undergraduate students, who regularly publish peer-reviewed research papers in leading journals. Historically, 53% of our Honours Physics students have gone on to earn PhDs after Bishop’s. The Department of Physics & Astronomy also offers a Master’s in Physics degree. For motivated students, an accelerated track is offered, in which the student can complete the MSc in Physics in one year after the BSc in Honours Physics.
