What is the Co-operative (Co-op) Education Program?
Co-operative Education seeks to complement a student’s academic program with full-time or part-time integrated work experiences. These paid work terms allow you to:

Who is eligible to join the Co-op Program?
Admission into the Co-op Program is limited to the following degree students:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Bachelor of Arts (BA), Major Business
- Bachelor of Arts (BA), Major in Information Technology
- Bachelor of Science (BSc), Major in Computer Science
In addition, you must:
- have completed at least 15 credits by the end of the semester previous to your internship;
- have completed BMG191- Fundamentals of Workplace Preparation and Professional Development;
- have a cumulative average of at least 70% upon application to the Program; and
- have a keen interest in learning outside the classroom.
If you are a temporary Canadian resident with a study permit, you must apply for and obtain a free Co-op work permit from IRCC prior to being able to participate in your placement. The Co-op work permit must be uploaded to your student file in the Registrar’s Office.
