Nomination – Dean of the Williams School of Business
“I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Maggie Shepherd as the new Dean of the Williams School of Business. She is currently serving as the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC), where she is cross-appointed between the Department of Management and the Department of Defense Studies at the Canadian Forces College. Over her 27-year career, she has held a variety of senior academic roles at RMC, including an eight-year tenure as Chair of the MBA program, Interim Dean of Graduate Studies, and inaugural Associate Vice-Principal and Director of Academic Services.
Professor Shepherd will be joining Bishop’s formally in mid-March 2025. My thanks go to Mark Gandey for his continuing service as Interim Dean and to all the members of the appointment committee for their hard work in the search process.
We look forward to working with Maggie and I know that all members of the University will be excited to welcome her and to collaborate in continuing to build a great future for the WSB.”
