Why Study Sports Studies at Bishop’s?

The Sports Studies major provides an intensive study of sport in society. This program is well-suited for those who want to make the most of a liberal arts education while also having a specialization in one area. During your degree, you must declare a concentration in one to three of the following areas: Athletic Development, Business and Society, Health and Exercise. There are also many opportunities for practical experiences to apply your skills and knowledge.

Every year, more than 30 Sports Studies students take on placements, for credit, with the Bishop’s Gaiters. They get hands-on experience in areas such as Game Day Operations, Team Operations, Social Media and Communications, and Athletic Therapy.
