Promissory Note

If your government student financial assistance will be received after the payment deadline, you are encouraged to submit a Promissory Note. The submission is only valid for the current semester and must be re-submitted each semester.

Submitting a Promissory Note:

  • Waives the $65 late payment fee.
  • Monthly interest charges will still apply to any unpaid balance after the payment deadline.
  • Account stops will still be in place after the payment deadline until the balance is paid in full. Account holds restrict access to course registration and to official university documents (including official transcripts).

Eligibility

Only students enrolled in a degree program are eligible to submit a Promissory Note.

Non-Degree and General Interest students are not eligible and must pay their fees in full by the published payment deadlines. Please refer to the Tuition Payment Deadlines page for details.

Submission Periods

Promissory Notes can only be submitted during the following periods:

  • Fall semester: Mid-August to September 28
  • Winter semester: Mid-December to January 29
  • Spring semester: Not available

Important!

Promissory Notes that are incomplete, inaccurate, or submitted outside the applicable submission period will be considered invalid and will not be accepted.

Late submissions are not permitted.
