Graduating Student

John S. Visser Memorial Prize
Awarded to a non-graduating student pursuing studies in Education and in French who, in the eyes of the Departments concerned, has demonstrated excellent French-teaching ability.

Ambassador of Switzerland Prize
Awarded to a student in the final year who obtains a high standing in French (Book Category).

Lieutenant Roddie Lemieux Prize in French
Awarded for proficiency in French literature, in memory of Roddie Lemieux, a student of this University, who was killed during the War of 1914-1918 ($100).

Bishop’s University Scholarships, Awards, Bursaries

In addition, through the help of government, alumni, current students, faculty and staff, the Bishop’s Foundation, corporations and private donors, over 53% of our students receive financial assistance through scholarships, awards, grants, bursaries and loans. We have hundreds of scholarships and awards that have a wide variety of requirements…you never know what you might receive!

If you are a new, full-time undergraduate student from outside of Quebec (including International Students), please contact frachair@ubishops.ca to see if you are eligible for a Oui Experience scholarship of $350 for a French as a Second Language Class.

Please note that all Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents or First Nations, and International students registered full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree are charged Quebec tuition rates for any French language or literature courses taken. See here for the Tuition and Fees.
