What is a Minor?
An academic minor is a complementary or secondary program of study that can be pursued in addition to a main academic program (such as your Major or Concentration).
At the Williams School of Business, we have minors available to all students (both for business and non-business students). Each Business minor is comprised of 24 credits (8 courses).
Adding a minor to your degree can help you explore a different area of interest, broaden your skills, and enrich your academic program at the university!
Minors available to all students:
*Exception: the Minor in Business Administration is only available to non-business students.
Consult the Academic Calendar for detailed information about academic program requirements, policies, procedures, regulations, course descriptions, pre-requisites, etc. It is recommended that students review their program completion plan each semester as some courses may only be offered once a year or only on alternate years.
We encourage you to seek academic advising as early as possible for guidance and support with academic planning, to review your progression and program completion plan. The WSB Academic Advisor can be reached at wsbadvisor@UBishops.ca.
How to add a minor to your degree
Students interested in adding a business minor to their degree should reach out to the WSB Academic Advisor to schedule an appointment. The Advisor will offer guidance on how to effectively integrate the minor into your main degree program and assist with submitting the necessary documentation to officially declare the minor.
