Tragedy in Quebec City

Dear Colleagues,

The members of the Bishop’s University/Champlain College community are deeply saddened by the events which took place at the Centre Culturel Islamique de Québec on Sunday evening.

We stand in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters and extend our deep sympathy to those who have lost loved ones.

We also want to remind any students who are struggling because of the events that the Student Services Personnel at both of our institutions are available to meet with you and provide support.

This evening there will be a vigil at the l’Association culturelle islamique de l’Estrie, 1200 Massé, Sherbrooke and the public is welcome to attend.

There will also be an opportunity to gather here on the campus on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in The Cleghorn Room on the second floor of the McGreer Building.

Our campus remains committed to fostering diversity and respect of all people.
