Frequently asked questions

I am graduating from my undergraduate degree during Winter 2025. Am I eligible to hold a FRQSC Summer Internship during Summer 2025, after the completion of my degree requirements?

Yes, you can hold a FRQSC Summer Internship following the completion of your degree (Summer 2025), provided you have not yet started your graduate studies and you meet all other eligibility criteria. You must be registered in your undergraduate degree at the time of application. However, since this funding is to initiate students to research, it would be pertinent in this case to mention what are the plans of the student now that they are done with undergrad school.

Can I be paid by this scholarship to work on my Honours thesis?

If you are selected for this funding, nothing in the guidelines prevents you from obtaining credits while being paid by this scholarship. However, some programs might prevent you from being paid while obtaining credits, so this would be program-dependent.
