Research Contracts Bishop’s researchers conduct research activities and provide research services (testing, analyses, training, etc.) for private and public sector partners as well as for non-profit organizations. In such cases, research contracts or research service contracts must be signed. Templates are available at the Office of Research and Graduate Studies. All research contracts are subject to overhead fees, which vary according to the funding source, and must be validated by the legal team. Our team will help guide you through the process to ensure the most efficient treatment of the contract and a quick start to the study! It is important to consult with us at the earliest stage of the project application so the process is more efficient. Please contact Samia Mihoub, Grants Officer, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or Amy Svotelis, Director, at email@example.com. Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Bishop’s University works in collaboration with TransferTech Sherbrooke for technology transfer projects. In compliance with the Action Plan Managing Intellectual Property of the Government of Québec, Bishop’s researchers have the responsibility to disclose their research findings to the University once they want to commercialize them. To this end, the Invention Disclosure Form must be completed and sent to the Vice-Principal Academic.
