Record year for enrolment at Bishop’s University – Fall Open House activity for prospective new students on October 13

As it prepares to host its Fall 2018 Open House activity to give prospective students a full-day experience of life at Bishop’s on October 13, the University is proud to announce it has again this year reached a new record high in enrolments for the 2018 Fall semester.

Official registration numbers for the Fall 2018 semester recognize 2,340 full time undergraduate students, 219 part time undergraduates, 109 international exchange students, and 199 graduate students (full-time and part-time) for a total student population of 2,867. This compares to a total student population of 2,790 students registered for the Fall 2017 semester, which at the time constituted the previous record high for enrolment at Bishop’s.

Hoping to build on the steady increase in enrolment over the past four years, Bishop’s will be hosting its Open House activity on Saturday, October 13.

“Prospective students who take part in Open House activities get multiple opportunities to discover life at Bishop’s University in one-on-one, personalized interactions with staff and faculty,” explains Dan Seneker, Director of Enrolment Management at Bishop’s University. “Students who visit our campus often experience love at first sight; that’s why Open House is a great opportunity to sign up for Bishop’s accelerated admissions process while they’re here.”

The accelerated admissions process at Bishop’s University allows prospective students who bring their transcripts or their Quebec Permanent Code for the Ministère de l’Éducation et Enseignement supérieur to apply on site for free during Open House activities, and may receive an admissions decision before they leave.

Bishop’s Open House on October 13 is the best opportunity for students looking to choose a university to truly live a day as a Bishop’s student: visiting residence rooms, testing the food at Dewhurst Dining Hall, meeting professors, Open House offers future students a full Bishop’s experience. Prospective students interested in taking part in Open House activities can register and consult the agenda for the day on the University’s website.
