Presenting the Preliminary plan of the Campus Educational Farm – New Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems program at Bishop’s

Members of the community and the media are invited to attend a public information session about the new Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Program’s project for a Campus Educational Farm with Bishop’s Professors Dr. Darren Bardati (Chair, Environment and Geography Department), Dr. Jane Morrison (Postdoctoral Fellow, Environment and Geography Department) and Jonathan Pineault (President of Écomestible agriculteurs paysagistes).

Bishop’s University’s Department of Environment and Geography now offers a new specialization in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems (SAFS), leading to either a SAFS Minor, a 30 credits Certificate in SAFS, or a six credits Permaculture Design Certificate. The Campus Educational Farm project is part of Bishop’s plans to develop SAFS into a full-fledged Major program.
