OUTSTANDING ENROLMENT NUMBERS AT BISHOP’S UNIVERSITY

Fourth largest incoming class in Fall 2015

Bishop’s University experienced a 15.2% increase in new full-time student enrolment from Fall 2014 to Fall 2015. The University welcomed the fourth largest incoming class in its 173-year history with 840 new full-time students.

Bishop’s full-time student enrolment also grew by 2.1% from Fall 2014 to Fall 2015.  Its full-time enrolment currently sits at 2,357 with an overall student enrolment (full-time and part-time) of 2,371 full-time equivalents.

The University saw full-time student enrolment increases from most of its traditional geographic regions, particularly in Quebec and Ontario where enrolment grew by 26.8% and 8.7% respectively.

“The student enrolment growth experienced this year is a solid indication that our model of a primarily undergraduate education in an intimate residential setting is highly respected and in demand,” says Dan Seneker, Director of Enrolment at Bishop’s University.  “Our model is unique in Quebec. With our U4 League partners (Acadia, Mount Allison and St. Francis Xavier universities), we provide transformational and student-focused experiences that allows students to gain the core competencies that are valued by employers.”

With the 2015-16 academic year well underway, Bishop’s is focused on attracting new students for Fall 2016 and beyond through its unique #BleedPurple campaign.
