For me the decision to choose Bishop’s was mainly about three things. The first was the academic program and being able to combine psychology with music – check. The second was having an intimate learning environment where I could get involved with the community and make connections that would last beyond my university years – check. And the third was being in a place where I could practice and enhance my French language skills – check. Bishop’s had it all!

The one thing that I’ve been very involved in on campus is the Residence Life and Conferences teams. Along with living in residence my first year, I have also been an RA (Residence Assistant) for the last three years – this year I have been the Team Coordinator for Mackinnon residence. The Residence Life team is like a family and it helps me feel at home at BU and I take this attitude and share it with our first year students so that they feel more comfortable and at home here as well. The transition to university can sometimes be scary so establishing a welcoming, safe, positive and healthy atmosphere by getting to know everyone on your floor and in your building is important and something we strive to provide. I strongly encourage every new student to consider living on campus. Not only to make the most of your university experience, but to also help you with the transition, try new things, get involved, and meet new people who like you, are coming from places near and far and have so much to offer our little community.

To close off here’s a fun fact about me. I love to do handstands everywhere I go. The photo of me is while I was on exchange in Malta, but I have done handstands in 14 countries so far!
