As a Francophone studying in French for my entire educational career, I chose Bishop’s to pursue my desire to become bilingual (and to get away from the city!). I fell in love with the intimate Bishop’s community and it was the perfect fit.

Two aspects of my Bishop’s experience really stand out for me. The first was living in residence. I got to meet my best friends, as well as my girlfriend, and I was able to connect with people from many different backgrounds and from all over the globe. I highly encourage everyone to go out and meet new people. Go out of your comfort zone and just say “hi” to as many people as you can. My second highlight was my exchange to Norway. Bishop’s has an extensive study abroad program and the time I spent away changed my life as I not only “grew up” as a person, but I got the chance to explore and travel alone, make new friends, catch the travel bug, and learn more about myself. It was truly an experience I encourage all students to take full advantage of.

Since leaving the BU Bubble, I have been admitted to the Master of Management in Liberal Arts program at Harvard (yes – THAT Harvard!). I am extremely proud of this accomplishment, as I am studying towards this degree while working for L’Oréal Canada as an account executive. This summer people asked me, “If you had the choice to attend any school for your undergrad degree, would you still go to Bishop’s?” As amazing and prestigious as Harvard is, I wouldn’t exchange my Bishop’s experience for anything in the world. I am proud to be a BU alumni and I most definitely #BleedPurple!
