Paterson is the newest building on campus, and home to the Residence and Conference Services office. It is very different from any other residence hall on campus, because it is the only building to offer suite-style accommodation. Each suite has four individual bedrooms, and suitemates share the use of a common area, kitchen, and two bathrooms.

Meet the 2021-2022 RA team

Artur Shut – SRA

Hello there! I’m so excited to be meeting you all this coming semester. My name is Artur and I’m studying History and Global Studies here at Bishop’s. I find fulfillment in reading, playing videogames, and going outside for scenic walks! I’m currently reading the sci-fi epic Dune, but I love all things fantastical and other-worldly — all things that I draw, or paint. I adore playing 4x strategy games and cooking! When I talk to others, I love hearing about their experiences, funny stories and general interests, so don’t hesitate to knock on my door and come talk for a while! My role as your SRA will be to ensure that you live in a respectful space, and have someone to talk to. Living in residence is a blast, and I hope that your year will be wonderful! Sincerely, I hope that I can ensure that your year can be as positive as it can be. So, cheers, Gaiter — and I hope that you have a great experience in Residence this year! I hope that you build friendships that last, and that when the time comes to depart, you’ll have made some fond memories, and a home away from home.

Best wishes,

P.S. you may contact me through my email:

Edna Amoah – RA

What’s up Gaiters! My name is Edna, I am an international student coming from Paris, and I am happy to be your new Paterson RA this upcoming year! I am heading into my fourth year at Bishop’s, majoring in Neuroscience and Pre-Medicine.  Although I traveled a lot throughout the years, I know how hard it can be to move away from home and settle into a new environment, so I hope to show you how fun and thrilling Bishop’s Rez can be and share my experiences with you!  In my pastime, I love socializing, working out, or reading a good book! I am also very interested in music, watching movies and cooking some new food (although I am not the best baker 👩‍🍳)! If you have any questions, or if you simply want to talk to someone, please do not hesitate to contact me with my email address: I am very excited to meet you all and get to know you better! I hope that you will love this journey as much as I already did! I look forward to seeing you, and until we meet, keep the BU spirit!

Meet your Residence Life Coordinator (RLC)

Aaricia du Bois de Nevele

Aaricia du Bois de NeveleHi everyone!

My name is Aaricia but most people on campus know me as Reese, so feel free to call me either! I am one of your Residence Life Coordinators at Bishop’s. As a member of the professional staff, my role is to help foster communities that are conducive to personal growth and academic success. I’m also here to make sure that everyone’s experience in our residences is both safe and fun!

During my undergraduate studies at Bishop’s, I explored various disciplines such as Psychology, Japanese Studies, and Religion. I also had the amazing opportunity to travel to Japan for a 10 months internship in Yamaguchi Prefecture, where I taught English to children and learned about Japanese culture. My favourite hobbies are working out and reading. I also enjoy learning new languages (I’m currently trying to learn Luxembourgish!) and spending time with Duchesse, my big fluffy cat.

Whether or not it is your first year at Bishop’s, I hope that it will be filled with new learning opportunities and memorable events, and that you will forge lifelong connections on our beautiful campus. To stay up to date on guidelines and events happening in Residence, I highly suggest you follow us on social media! Our handle for both Instagram and Facebook is @UBishopsRezLife.

For any Residence Life questions, you can also email and someone from the Residence Life Staff team will be happy to get back to you.

For any questions related to Residence fees, meal plans or room assignment, please email the Residence office at

Looking forward to connecting with you!
