Norton, Bandeen and Pollack

Norton and Bandeen

Since 1950, those residences have been turning out some of Bishop’s most brilliant – and legendary – students. Norton is connected to Bandeen through the 2nd floor. Norton and Bandeen overlook the historic Quad and are the closest residences to the university centre and most of the academic buildings. They are known for their spirit, camaraderie, and pride.

For the 2021-2022 academic year, Pollack is reserved for Self-Isolation and Quarantine.

Sébastien L’Abbé – SRA

Hello! My name is Sébastien L’Abbé, but my friends and family call me Seb, and sometimes Baz. I am in my 4th year at Bishop’s University where I am studying Fine Arts and Computer Science. Although I haven’t done much worldly travelling in my life, I’ve been all over Canada, from the Maritimes to the Rocky Mountains, and even to the arctic circle!

I have a wide range of hobbies, which include music (Bass playing), games (PC games, tabletop), and sports (Paddling & Boxing). I also take great pride in my crafting and repair skills. I love helping people solve problems, whether they be mechanical, academic, or personal. So, if you have anything that needs fixing, don’t hesitate to come to me and I may be able to send you in the right direction. As someone diagnosed with ASD at a young age, I’m no stranger to the Student Accessibility & Accommodations Services (SAAS) office at Bishop’s, so, should you have any questions about accommodations I’d be glad to help.

While I’m not very active on conventional social media, you can find me on Facebook under the name Sébastien L’Abbé, as well as on Instagram and Discord under the name Umikaloo where I like to share and discuss my various projects.

This year I’ll be working as an SRA With your help, hopefully we can make this semester our best one yet!

Océane Therrien – RA

Hello BUties! My name is Océane (it’s French, so you may call me Ocean if it’s easier for you 😉 ), my pronouns are she/her and I will be in Norton this year. This will be my second year on the Residence Life team and my third year living on campus. I am an elementary education student, and I am currently in my third year. I love watching movies, reading, spending time with my friends and I especially love my cats! I also adore helping people and making them smile. I never thought I would leave home to go to university, but when I visited Bishop’s I just knew I had to come here. It is an open-minded, beautiful community, filled with amazing and different people from all over the world, on a gorgeous campus. Because it is not a very big campus, the classes are smaller than other schools. This allows the students and professors to connect and develop real relationships. It is a place to discover new aspects of yourself and get out of your comfort zone. The opportunities are endless here. I am beyond excited to meet all of you and to help you navigate this new experience that is university and hopefully have a lot of fun! My goals are to provide a safer space and environment for all residents and also make sure to organize great events for you to meet new people and discover new things and learn! I love to listen and help people, so if you need help, advice, or you simply want to talk, it will be my pleasure to be there for you! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message me at or simply come see me if you can!

Océane 😉

Meet your Residence Life Coordinator (RLC)

Aaricia du Bois de Nevele

Aaricia du Bois de NeveleHi everyone!

My name is Aaricia but most people on campus know me as Reese, so feel free to call me either! I am one of your Residence Life Coordinators at Bishop’s. As a member of the professional staff, my role is to help foster communities that are conducive to personal growth and academic success. I’m also here to make sure that everyone’s experience in our residences is both safe and fun!

During my undergraduate studies at Bishop’s, I explored various disciplines such as Psychology, Japanese Studies, and Religion. I also had the amazing opportunity to travel to Japan for a 10 months internship in Yamaguchi Prefecture, where I taught English to children and learned about Japanese culture. My favourite hobbies are working out and reading. I also enjoy learning new languages (I’m currently trying to learn Luxembourgish!) and spending time with Duchesse, my big fluffy cat.

Whether or not it is your first year at Bishop’s, I hope that it will be filled with new learning opportunities and memorable events, and that you will forge lifelong connections on our beautiful campus. To stay up to date on guidelines and events happening in Residence, I highly suggest you follow us on social media! Our handle for both Instagram and Facebook is @UBishopsRezLife.
