I am a professional cyclist, so that’s certainly what I’m most passionate about. My life revolves around my bike racing, which makes it an interesting challenge to be a full-time student in addition to training 10-20 hours a week and racing full time, but my love for the sport makes that a lot easier. Bishop’s gave me the perfect place to train and ride my bike.  I’ve had a blast exploring Lennoxville and the Eastern Townships on my bike, it’s been the perfect way to see the scenery around the area that I wouldn’t otherwise. In addition, the support I get from Bishop’s to keep up with my cycling is incredible. They support the fact that I’m trying to balance my sports career and getting an education and they do all they can to help accommodate me. Whether that’s accommodating my insane schedule with assignments and classes, to storing my bikes in the Sports Plex, or letting me train there in the winter, everyone has been looking out for me which is something you’ll get nowhere else.

At BU I am part of the Bowling Club and the Beekeeping Club. I’m so glad a friend dragged me out to Club Day, so that I was exposed to all the different clubs I could join – I had no idea there would be that many. Getting involved on campus is a great way to meet new people and to try new things, but BU is such a friendly and welcoming community that you will meet new people without even trying. I realized this almost immediately upon arriving on campus and I try to embody that spirit as much as I can myself. Everyone smiles at one another and goes out of their way to help others, even if they don’t know them, so I’ve noticed myself making an effort to do this is well. Once you get inside the BU Bubble you’ll want to stay here forever more!
