Bishop’s Bridge closed for repairs during Reading Week

Good day,

The University has been advised of late by the Ministère des Transports, de la Mobilité durable et de l’Électrification des transports that the Bishop’s bridge will be closed to all vehicle traffic on route 108, in both the east & west bound directions. The bridge closure is required to conduct repairs to the road surface and will occur for the entire period beginning Monday, March 5th until Friday, March 9th, 2018.

The detour for cars and trucks under 18 tons has been established: St. Francis Street – Bowen S. – Route 216 (Galt Street) – Route 143 (Wellington S.) – Route 108 (College Street).

The bridge will remain open to pedestrians, but access will be restricted to one sidewalk only.

Subject to weather conditions or operational constraints, it is possible that the planned work could be rescheduled. Please consult Québec 511 for updates and to plan your. For the security of pedestrians and workers, respect for any detour signage and work areas are essential.

Thank you.
