In June 2018, the Board of Governors constituted an Ad Hoc Committee for the Selection of a Secretary-General and Vice-Principal Government Relations and Planning in conformity with the University Statutes.

The Committee was composed of:

  • Ms. Angela Chrétien, Staff Council
  • Dr. Jenn Cianca, Senate
  • Dr. Jamie Crooks, Faculty Council
  • Me Michael Goldbloom, Principal (Chair)
  • Ms. Isabelle Goyette, Senior Administration
  • Ms. Marilyn Hardy, Students’ Representative Council
  • Me Nadia Martel, Governor
  • Mr. Dan Seneker, Managers’ Council
  • Dr. Miles Turnbull, Academic Officer
  • Ms. Tova White, Governor.

The Committee unanimously recommended the appointment of Dr. Trygve Ugland to the position. Both Senate and the Board of Governors unanimously endorsed the recommendation.
