Québec Perspective Scholarship

Starting in the Fall 2022, the Government of Québec launched the Programme de bourses Perspective Québec (PBPQ) which encourages students to pursue postsecondary study in fields deemed a priority to the province’s workforce planning, which includes Bishop’s University’s Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program.

The value of the scholarship is $2,500 per semester, up to a total of $20,000 for a 4-year program. The amount of $2,500 per semester will be awarded to students after each successful completion of a full-time semester of study (12 credits), starting in Fall 2022. The Fall 2022 semester will be paid out in the subsequent semester (i.e. Winter 2023).

Excellence scholarships for students in Education

The Quebec Ministry of Education has launched the Bourses d’excellence aux futurs enseignants program, offering $15.8 million dollars in scholarship money to Education students enrolled in a full-time Bachelor of Education program leading to teacher certification.

The value of each scholarship is $7,500 annually. Bourses d’excellence scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence; there is no application process and students need not apply.
