As a history student, you have opportunities to get further involved in the Bishop’s community. You can join the History Association (BUHA) or contribute to the annual History Review as an editor or author. Through these extracurricular activities, you will become part of a tight-knit community of fellow students and professors. Opportunities such as these are what makes Bishop’s so unique: in addition to a rewarding academic experience, you can pursue your love of history outside of the classroom.
The Bishop’s University History Association
The Bishop’s University History Association is dedicated to creating an active undergraduate organization that participates in and organizes history events campus wide. With a full Executive team and members from the history department, as well as various other programs, the Association annually publishes the History Review, which consists of the department’s best student essays. As well, members and the executive team organize historic field trips, which have included Montreal, Ottawa, and Virginia. The History Association believes that through promoting events such as History Week and the Colloquium, student’s campus wide can enjoy and experience history outside of the classroom.
