Arrival

What to do when you arrive:

Participants must arrive on the first day of the program between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. at the Hodder Residence (see F-4 on campus map).

Students will receive a welcome package including the complete schedule for the duration of the program, a key to their room in residence and a student ID card.

After settling into their room, students will gather at the Dewhurst Dining Hall (Sodexo) where they will be introduced to all the other Explore – ESL Immersion participants at the welcome BBQ. General information about the program will be provided followed by a guided campus tour.

Departure

What to do before you leave:

  • Tidy your room
  • Pack all your belongings
  • Return your key to a monitor

Students are permitted to leave after having written their final exam and the program evaluations on the last Thursday of their session. However, students are invited to attend the “graduation” ceremony where a graduation cake will be served and program certificates given out to all students. All students are expected to leave campus by 10:00 a.m. on the last Friday of their session. Breakfast will be the last meal served during the program.
