Entrepreneurship Programs

Entrepreneurship Programs

This is a program for self-motivated students who have an entrepreneurial spirit and are eager to challenge themselves professionally by creating their own ventures and projects. It can be an alternative to completing a Co-op work term.

Dobson-Lagassé Entrepreneurship Centre

The Centre was created in 1998 by Mr. John Dobson (The John Dobson Foundation) and Mr. Louis Lagassé (Groupe Lagassé). The Dobson-Lagassé Entrepreneurship Centre offers entrepreneurs a wide range of consulting services, resources, training sessions and conferences in order to bring them support and knowledge. The organization defines itself as a major reference centre and a unique forum with a view to exchanging information and serving the Eastern Townships business community as well as Bishop`s students.

ENACTUS Bishop’s University

Formerly SIFE BISHOP’S, Enactus Bishop’s is one of many non-profit university student groups that operates under the Enactus title. Said program is a an international project and competition, which is administered domestically by ACE Canada, short for Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship.

Each chapter is responsible for developing projects that improve the standard of living of people in need, based on specific project criteria. The chapters present their results to a panel of judges at the end of each academic year, in competitions beginning at regionals and ending in nationals.

The ENACTUS BISHOP’S mission is to bring together the top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business.
