Top 10 After 10

The first-ever Bishop’s Top 10 After 10 competition was a huge success. In the end, over 140 nominations were received, clearly demonstrating a broad interest in this new program. The Selection and Advisory Committee was extremely impressed with the quality and diversity of our nominees, whose very high caliber made the selection process a difficult one. At this year's Homecoming the ten winners were introduced to alumni, faculty, staff and students alike. It was a busy but fun few days for the winners as they attended classroom sessions and various functions as part of the activities surrounding the inauguration of this first impressive group. We are proud of the success of Bishop’s graduates – all of them. Bishop’s graduates are leaders in business, education, science, community and volunteer service…in fact in every walk of life. We would like to honour and share in those successes. By highlighting our graduates’ achievements with prospective and current students, as well as fellow alumni, we will be able to demonstrate the quality of a Bishop’s education and instill pride among members of the Bishop’s community.

The Top 10 After 10 program is more than a recognition event; the University also wishes to provide networking, professional and personal development opportunities for members of this special group, while also facilitating mentorship among program members and others in the Bishop’s community.

We invite you to fill in the short form below to nominate yourself or another Bishop’s graduate for membership in the Bishop’s Top 10 After 10. A Selection and Advisory Committee comprised of prominent Bishop’s graduates and friends will contact nominees for additional information and then evaluate the completed nominations to choose 10 alumni from the classes of 1988 to 1998 for membership in this prestigious group.

Inductees will:

• be featured prominently in Bishop’s publications, our web site and in our media outreach;
• be permanently displayed on the Top 10 After 10 wall on campus;
• attend a special ceremony and celebratory dinner on campus;
• share experiences and advice with current Bishop’s students;
• participate in two annual events, one on campus and one in another Canadian city, designed to provide networking, educational and personal growth experiences for all Bishop’s Top 10 After 10 members;
• enjoy membership in this group for a period of five years from the year they are inducted

CRITERIA

Please complete the form below to nominate yourself, or someone else, for the Bishop’s Top 10 After 10. Nominees will be contacted by the Selection and Advisory Committee to complete a short application. The deadline for submission is March 20, 2009.
