The Students with Disabilities Office (SDO), provides services which support the integration and independence of students with disabilities into the university community.

A wide range of academic and support services is available for students with:

  • Visual impairments
  • Hearing impairments
  • Learning disabilities (see Policy for definition)
  • Physical or health related difficulties

Students are encouraged to contact the Students with disabilities Office at the time of their acceptance to Bishop's University. To make an appointment, call:

When you come for your appointment, bring appropriate documentation with you such as:

  • a letter from your medical specialist
  • a diagnostic report from a learning disabilities specialist
  • letters from your previous academic institution
