September 19, 2012 - Reception with the Principal
Time: 5 - 8 pm
Where: The Cleghorn Room (2nd floor of McGreer Hall)
Formal invitations will be sent to you by e-mail AS WELL AS by BU mailbox and/or mail before classes begin. Both current and prospective members are invited. Not only will it be a great opportunity for returning students and invitees to mingle, but all who attend will have the chance to speak to the GK executives, honourary members, Faculty Advisors, Dr. Jessica Riddell and Dr. Jackie Bailey (Dean of Student Affairs), and most importantly, Principal Goldbloom! Information tables on how to become more involved with GK will be set up. Light refreshments and appetizers will be served.

Honorary members of Golden Key will also be in attendance (including Deans Harvey from Business, Beauchamp from Education, Vice Principal Childs, Principal Goldbloom, and LOTS of faculty). This is a great chance to meet people from outside your department and learn about scholarships (over $1 millions dollars worth!) and other programs designed specially for YOU.

Formal invitations to the prospective members (and parents!) will be sent by mid-October. This is a wonderful opportunity to invite your parents to visit Bishop’s (and celebrate your incredible academic achievements).

Annual Induction Ceremony
New members and new honorary members are inducted to the BU Golden Key Society at a formal ceremony. Past honourary members and Bishop's University delegates are invited to celebrate the new inductees.
Meal Exchange (Trick or Eat)
Each year members collect food on the evening of Halloween and donate to local food shelters.
Better World Books
Members collect used books to submit to Better Worlds Book, a for-profit book store, who, in turn, donate a portion back to the BU G.K. Chapter.
