When leadership is defined not as a position you hold, but as a way of being, you discover that you can lead from wherever you are.

Discover The Leader Within
The Student Services Leadership Office hosted its second annual student leadership retreat on November 9-11, 2012 at l’Auberge du Centre d’arts Orford. The aim of the retreat is to encourage students to learn more about their leadership identity and explore their potential while engaging with peers from different disciplines. We intentionally target first and second year students who demonstrate leadership qualities and who may not necessarily be in a leadership role…YET! Emerging leaders are identified by members of Faculty, Staff, Student Representative Council, Resident Assistants, and past leadership retreat participants. The Organizing Committee has the difficult task of selecting 40 students for this three day event. Supporting the growth of young leaders is a community effort at Bishop’s and we’re proud of the contributions our students make locally and globally!
Success Coaching
Adjusting to university life can be both exciting and overwhelming. Success coaching is about learning and making changes that support your growth, development and well-being while enhancing your capacity to deal with life transitions and challenges. Develop the skills that can help you become more successful in school and life in general. You’ll work closely with a professional coach as you move towards your goals and learn to be accountable for your results. Students who have engaged in coaching have found it extremely helpful in areas such as planning and goal-setting, organizational skills, time management, creating more balance in their life, stress management, interpersonal skills, or enhancing their leadership effectiveness.
