Paterson Team:
![]() Chelsea Carr Kinnear | Hey everyone, I’m Chelsea Carr Kinnear and I am very excited to be a Munster Paterson Senior RA for the 2012- 2013 school year. I will be in Paterson! I am from Halifax, Nova Scotia and I had lived there my whole life until I left the Maritimes and came to Quebec to attend Bishop’s. This will be my third year at university and I am currently working on a Bachelor of Science and majoring in neuroscience with the hopes of becoming an honours student. I am involved with competitive kayaking and I love participating in other sports such as running, swimming, hiking and skiing. I also love music, volunteering, travelling and hanging out with friends. At Bishop’s I am involved with various groups such as Psychology club and the Biology club. I've really enjoyed the past two years in residence and I have come to think of Bishop’s as a second home. I can’t wait to meet all of you and help you with any of your concerns or questions so you can also have an amazing time here at Bishop’s! Don’t forget to pack some purple clothing because Bishop’s students have a lot of school spirit and there will be many opportunities to show your purple pride! If you have any questions feel free to email me at ccarr10@ubishops.ca. I’m looking forward to next fall and I hope you all enjoy your summer! |

I enjoy reading, travelling, dancing, hanging out with friends and cooking. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me at mvanloon10@ubishops.ca. ![]() Ryan Moyer | Welcome to Bishop’s University. This is the start of something new for you and I am ecstatic to be a part of it. My name is Ryan Maitland Moyer and I am a second year sociology student here at Bishop’s University. I began my academic career in Oakville (west of Toronto) in Advertising at Sheridan College then moved to Ottawa to attend Carleton. After hearing amazing reviews of Bishops I decided to give it a try. Best decision ever. I will give you two words of advice for all residents, “Get Involved”. These two words will change your life. Getting involved in our wonderful Bishops community will make forming relationships incredibly easy and also give you great experience in whatever fields you choose to get involved with. Step out of your comfort zone. This first year I decided to participate in a drama festival called “New Plays” and took up my first role in a play. It was an incredible experience in which I met many amazing people that I still hang around with to this day. In my spare time I enjoy producing music, running and playing basketball. If you need any type of advice or would like to contribute an idea to help make our year at Bishop’s amazing feel free to shoot me a message at rmoyer08@ubishops.ca . Looking forward to hearing from you and meeting you in the fall. |
Rachel Veilleux |
Hey incoming and returning students! My name is Rachel Veilleux and I will be one of the Munster/Paterson RAs for the upcoming school year! I’m from a small city in Ontario, called Sarnia, but Bishop’s has truly become a home for me. I’m currently studying Secondary Education and French, and love music, being with friends and family, jogging, skating, and laughing to tears. I decided to come to Bishop’s because I loved the community atmosphere. Everyone here is incredibly hospitable and easy to talk to, and that sealed the deal for me, coming from a Province away. One of my favourite things is being able to walk anywhere on campus, and always running into familiar faces. Whether you are from another country, or another city in Québec, coming to University is a big step, but I promise you that it really does encompass some of the best days of your life. Sometimes you may find yourself having to step outside of your comfort zone a little bit, and that’s OK! In fact, that may be one of the best things you can do because this life is yours, so live it up to the fullest – you can be whoever you want to be. I hope you all enjoy your summer vaycay and feel free to send me an email at rveilleux11@ubishops.ca anytime if you have any questions, or just want to talk about, classes, Rez, skating, music, the education/French program, or even life itself. I really can’t wait to meet all of you in the fall, and look forward to welcoming you to Bishop’s University – the place that never stops making your day. |
