Mackinnon Resident Assistants' (RA) Bios

Bonjour! My name is Warren Haydock and I’ll be the Team Coordinator in Mackinnon for the 2012/2013 school year. My home town is Aberfoyle which is right beside Guelph in Ontario. I love Bishops because of its small class sizes and all of the leadership opportunities that it has to offer its students, as well as the fact that I have a long line of family that has attended Bishops University. I am currently a fifth year Liberal Arts student and am enjoying every minute in my program. Throughout the years I have spent a lot of time out here in the townships due to the fact that my father is from here and we own a farmhouse on the base of Owls Head. Hey! My name is Adriane Harkema. Most people call me Agie( AG). I was born on Salt Spring Island B.C. I lived there my whole life until moving to Bishops. The only time leaving home before coming to bishops was when I participated in a three month exchange. I came to Quebec in grade ten and exchanged with a girl from Saint- Camille. I am currently studying in elementary education. I will be one of the RA’s in Mackinnon. I really enjoy hanging out with friends and having a good. I also love watching and playing basketball.  I will tell you a little about my family. I have four sisters. I am the fourth of five. I am also an aunt. I’m Meghan and this will be my first year being an R.A. I lived in Mackinnon last year and had such a blast so I am excited to be back here again. I am from Stittsville, Ontario in West Ottawa. This will be my second year as a Psychology major and I am hoping to minor in English. My interests include: Zumba, watching Community, and reading The Hunger Games. I love listening to music such as Foster the People, Gotye and Mumford & Sons, and have a secret love for Beyoncé. I am really excited to be part of the Mackinnon team this year. I look forward to planning some fun events for you guys!

Hey everyone! My name is Shauna Akkermans and I'm stoked to be one of your Mackinnon RA's! I lived in Mack my first year and absolutely loved the community and campus! I am very excited to be returning! I grew up on a dairy farm in the middle-of-no-where Eastern Ontario, and I chose Bishop's for it's small size and the community (it was love at first sight when I came on my tour!)  My major is in Drama and I'm hoping to  become an honors major! Aside from theatre, my passions are photography, reading, writing, and I absolutely love all animals!I enjoy all things Harry Potter, Nancy Drew, musicals, concerts, adventures and good movies. And cheese. I like cheese. I am very excited to meet you all in September!I encourage you all to explore your passions and get involved! Hey Mackinnon!

I am Amanda Bao, and I am one of the Mackinnon RAs. I am a second year Elementary Education students here at BU and love it more and more everyday! When I first decided to attend BU it was due to its beautiful campus; I quickly realized that I not only attended a University with a beautiful campus, but one with incredible people and a great sense of community. I am someone who loves new experiences, who appreciates meeting new people and who loves getting involved, hense my position as an RA. If ever you have any questions, concerns, ideas for programs or just want to hang out, please do not be shy to come see me, it'll be my pleasure to spend time with you and get to know you! Hello BU students! My name is Tony Mackenzie and I will be an S.R.A. in the Mackinnon residence. I was born in Montreal and live in Rockwood, Ontario which is right near Guelph. Currently I am studying as a souble major in Arts Administrations with a concentration in drama and Business. My hobbies are hockey, soccer, football and video games.
