Each of the RA's from Kuehner have written a bio to welcome students to their section or floor. Any questions please email any one of the following RAs!
Elisabeth Lefebvre
Hello future BU students. I'm Lily and I am from the suburbs north of Montreal. I study in Environmental Studies and Geography, and it is going to be my third and last year at BU. I am planning on doing my masters after Bishop's, focusing on coastal geography. I love traveling and I wish I could explore a lot more places than I actually can. My favorite place at the moment is England. I lived there for a few months, attending boarding school and I loved it. I also love doing anything outside. For the past five years, I have spent my summers working in camps, so I have a problem staying inside, especially if it's a nice day. I love canoeing, even if it's with kids who think it's hilarious to bump into each other and capsize.
To relax I enjoy watching movies or doing artsy things. Don't ask me why, but I find coloring in coloring books is the most relaxing activity in the world. I also drink a ridiculous amount of tea, so if you ever feel like it, come over for tea. I also enjoy baking way too much and I will normally have some cookies hanging around in my room.
I am going to be the TC in Newside this year. I look forward to meeting you and my door is almost always open, so please drop in.
Matthew Beaver
Salutations, Bishop's University! My name is Matt Beaver, and I will be a second year student and first year RA for the 2013-2014 academic year. I am an English born, B.C. raised individual, and I have flown all the way across the country to attend this university. I am an English major masquerading as a drama student (though officially English is my only major) and I love the many programs and prerogatives provided by this university. My various interests include films, friends, board games (especially Balderdash), physical activity of any sort (though I sometimes forget to move for months on end), and anything that looks like it might be fun. I hope that you are ready for some engaging Rez events, because I have some fun ideas for the future. My goal is to make your stay in Rez as inclusive and fulfilling as possible, so if you have any ideas, suggestions or comments, please feel free to email me at mbeaver12@ubishops.ca. BU is a wide and wonderful place to be, and my hope is that I'll be able to share my experience of university life with you all. Have a great year and do not forget to wear purple.
Tirza Harris
Hello! Bonjour! Guten Tag! Shalom! Ciao! Hola! Namaste! Privet! Salve! I'm Tirza and I am pumped to be one of your RAs in Newside this year; I'll be living on the Eco floor in Kuehner. This is my second year here at Bishops and I'm doing a major in Classical Studies with a minor in History. I'm from the lovely city of Kingston, Ontario although I often refer to my home as being here at BU.
I'm super excited for this year to start and I look forward to getting to know you and everyone else living on campus. It will seriously be an amazing experience for you! I enjoy gaming on my PS3, relaxing to indie music, reading in my spare time, wasting my time on board games, and being around people. I absolutely love it here at BU and I'm sure you will feel the same way about our community and spirit. If you need (or want) to talk to me about anything just shoot me an email at tharris12@ubishops.ca and I'll be glad to help. Bring your purple and get ready for an awesome year!
