![]() Matthew Robinson | Hey everyone! My name is Matthew and I'm one of your 2013-2014 Newside RAs. For those of you who have applied to the Leadership Community I will be your RA. I am a second-year student from the fantastic city of North Bay, Ontario. I live right near the Lake and the forest and love to be outside, running, swimming, canoeing, sledding, skiing and more! I love being able to do the same things in the areas around BU. I am doing a double Major in International Studies and Sociology. I don't know what I'm going to do with my life yet, but I know I want to travel, work with people and help them solve problems. Life at BU is more than just classes and there are so many ways to get involved. In my first year I was a member of the SRC and an alumni caller for our Annual Campaign. I also acted in both of our Theatre Festivals and sang as a member of the Bishop's Choir. There are always things going on around campus and there is something for everyone to be a part of. I've always got a song stuck in my head and you will probably hear me singing in the shower or in the halls. I am a big fan of a good pun and will always try and make you laugh, usually unsuccessfully. I'm also a certified Pokemon Master, so let me know if you want to battle or trade. I am really excited to meet everyone living in Abbott and Kuehner, to get to know you, and to help you have a fantastic BU residence experience. It is going to be an awesome year and if you have any questions, concerns, jokes, stories or anything else to share just shoot me an e-mail to mrobinson12@ubishops.ca. |
Martina Fisher | Hi future and current BU students! My name is Shauna Golding and I am from right outside of Montreal. Next year, I will be one of the Newside RAs (which means I am going to be working in Abbott and Kuehner) and I can't wait. I am going into my second year at Bishop's and my first year in Elementary Education. right now, I'm hoping to become a teacher and work a little bit everywhere. I love to travel and want to travel everywhere. So far, I haven't been very far. I have gone to England, a few places in the U.S. and some very interesting Canadian cities. I love being outside. I play soccer, love kayaking, camping, swimming and going running (so if you ever want a running buddy you should definetely knock on my door first). My favorite thing to do after class is to watch a movie, read a book or listen to music. I have a large collection of David's Tea teas, and love making my own Dewies recipes, mixing anything and everything I can get my hands on, making for some exrremely tasty meals. If you ever don't know what to eat I always have some pretty interesting suggestions. Come by anytime! I can't wait to meet you all! Hello Gaiters! My name is Martina, and I will be the Senior RA in Abbott and Kuehner (Newside) for the 2013/2014 year! I am from Barrie, Ontario, where I grew up synchronized skating, playing soccer and playing rugby. I have graduated from Georgian College from the Child and Youth Worker program and I have now found myself at BU taking Psychology: Applied Concentration. To Relax I love to sit down and read a good book. I ussually have tow or three going at a time and love to hear about new or old books that I should read. I am a huge sports fan. I live just north of Toronto, so I love the Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Maple Leafs. I like to make time to go to the gym and clear my head after a stressful day, so if I can't be found in my room or in class, it is most likely where I will be. I love to spend time with people. I have an open door policy, so even if my door is not open, feel free to knock and come on in to hang out. I am very approachable, so if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask. I can't wait to meet you all in September! |
