Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation
The purpose of the Foundation is to aid artists in the early stages of their careers. Awards are limited to candidates working in the following:
- Painting - Drawing - Printmaking - Sculpture
Work must be representational. The Charter of the Foundation precludes the consideration of non-objective art.
Applicants must have started or completed art school training or must demonstrate,
through past work and future plans, a commitment to making art a lifetime career.
Grant amount: CAN$12,500
Funds may be used for any art-related purpose: study, travel, studio-rental, purchase of materials, etc.

Elvie Smith Memorial Scholarship for Studies in Canadian Aviation
Scholarship awarded annually to a deserving young Canadian who seeks a career related to aviation. The scholarship honours Elvie Smith (1926-1999), distinguished aerospace executive and Member of the Hall of Fame, former Chairman and CEO of Pratt & Whitney Canada. The scholarship is sponsored by Pratt & Whitney Canada and administered by Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame. Entrants must be enrolled in their final year of a Canadian university. Submissions are to be made in writing in either official language.
Entomological Society of Canada
Offers two postgraduate awards of $2,000 each to assist students beginning graduate study and research leading to an advanced degree in entomology. In memory of Dr. D. Keith Kevan, the Entomological Society of Canada is also offering one postgraduate award of $1,000 to assist graduate students studying systematics in entomology.

SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarships (CGS) - Master’s program
The Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) offers non-renewable twelve-month awards valued at $17,500, and tenable at recognized Canadian universities, to students who intend to pursue full-time studies at the Master’s level in a discipline supported by SSHRC. Candidates must have a first-class average in each of the last two years of full-time study. Information is available from the web site at: www.sshrc.ca.
