The most important ones are the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Nature et technologies (FRQNT), and the Fonds de recherche du Québec- Société et culture (FRRSC).
