Research Events and Knowledge Mobilization
Several knowledge mobilization events are planned for the 2015-2016 academic year, outlined in the following calendar of events. Of note are two new series, “Research Insights,” a knowledge-sharing activity destined to Bishop’s University researchers, and the “Café Scientifique” series, designed to take academic research and expertise beyond the campus walls and share it with members of the community. Research Week is another opportunity for faculty and student researchers to disseminate their work to the campus community, and the Bishop’s University Institutional Repository is a newly-created tool that allows researchers to safeguard and share their work.

Bishop’s University’s Institutional Repository
The Bishop’s University Institutional Repository is a tool designed to showcase and archive the intellectual and creative output of the Bishop’s University community, including but not limited to: faculty research and publications, student theses, conference presentations, event audio and video recordings, and teaching resources. By committing their work to the Institutional Repository, researchers are in compliance with the Tri-Agency Open Access Policy on Publications, which aims to improve access to results of Agency-funded research, and to increase the dissemination and exchange of research results. It is strongly recommended that this tool be used by all Bishop’s University researchers, regardless of funding support.
