BORIS Catalogue: English
This is a selective list of reference sources for the study of Economics.
This is NOT an exhaustive list. The main source of information concerning the Bishop’s Library collection is BORIS, the library’s online catalogue. It should always be consulted in order to find more books, periodicals, or other items on any given subject.
To find material on the library shelves look for the Library of Congress Classification (call) numbers from HB to HF. Books marked Ref. or Ref.Ind.Sd. are located in the Reference Room.
Some material listed in the Student’s Guide to Reference Sources in Business Administration may also be helpful. If you require help in locating material, ask for assistance at the Reference Desk.
ELECTRONIC SOURCE
The Reference Department has several relevant databases available via the Library’s Periodical Indexes and Databases page. These include, among others, Academic Search Completer, Business Source Completer, EconLit, CBCA, Canadian Newstand, Emerald,, ScienceDirect, Social Sciences Citation Index, and E-Stat (including CANSIM). Please ask at the Reference Desk for more information about these important resources.
