BORIS Catalogue: English
This is a selective list of reference sources for Anthropology and Archaeology.
BORIS, the Library's OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), is the primary source for material in the Library. For works by a particular author search under the author's name: ie. Leaky, Richard. For a particular title, search under title: ie. People of the Lake: Mankind and its Beginnings.
For works about a particular individual or subject, do a subject search under the appropriate name or subject heading. The Library of Congress Subjects Heading List (the five large red books in the Lobby), will help you determine the correct subject heading.
Books on these topics have Library of Congress call #'s starting with CB, CC, E, GN, GR or KE .
Most of the books on this list are located in the Reference Room. The location "Ref Ind Sd" in the call number indicates that the book is shelved on an Index Stand.
