RefWorks

RefWorks is an online research management, writing and collaboration tool that is designed to help researchers easily gather, manage, store and share all types of information, as well as generate citations and bibliographies.

RefWorks allows you to:

  • Establish your own personal database of citations
  • Save citations from Bishop's database and library catalogue searches
  • Produce bibliographies formatted in any of the major bibliographic styles (e.g. APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.).  RefWorks supports over 200 different bibliographic styles
  • Share your databases with others (using RefShare)
  • Integration with MS Word (via the Write-n-cite plugin)

To create an account:

  • Go to www.refworks.com/refworks from an on-campus computer
  • The RefWorks User Login for Bishop's University's page will display.  Simply click on "Sign up for an Individual Account"
  • Enter the required data and click "Register"

Off-campus access:

  • Once users have signed up for an individual account they will have access to the Bishop's group code, which enables remote access
