Public Performance Rights

PROCEDURE

Read the public performance rights guidelines

Check the Canadian distributors’ website (under title search) to ensure that the video/DVD is available.

  1. Criterion Pictures        http://www.criterionpic.com/

  2. Audio Ciné Films         http://www.acf-film.com/

Fill out the purchase order form (one form per video/DVD) and send the form to: The Library secretary by email: (PPR@ubishops.ca).

Ensure that you give the Library secretary enough time to process your request and secure the public performance rights for the video/DVD you want to show. We suggest at least one week.

The purchase of the public performance rights is for one (1) showing only of the video/DVD.

If the date has passed, or if we cannot secure the public performance rights, and you proceed with an illegal viewing of the video/DVD, the Library will not be responsible if any legal action is taken by the copyright companies.

N.B. Please note that Criterion Pictures is NOT The Criterion Collection. So when you search for your films, please use the above website. The Criterion Collection is an american company and they do not issue public performance rights.
